ANCESTRAL ROOTS, MODERN CARE

Founded by Samanta, a registered nurse who grew up surrounded by the healing traditions of the Ecuadorian Amazon and Andes. La Parea Wellness is where that heritage meets her medical background — handmade in New Jersey, one small batch at a time.

Growing up in Ecuador, Samanta learned before she ever set foot in a hospital that healing doesn't always come from a prescription pad. In the Amazon and the Andes, plants, oils, and rituals passed down through generations were simply part of everyday care — a philosophy she carried with her when she moved to the United States.

That instinct led her toward medicine. Samanta spent over seven years as a registered nurse in critical care, later stepping into a leadership role as an OR coordinator at a plastic surgery practice in Bergen County. Years spent in operating rooms and ICUs gave her a front-row seat to the body under stress — and a growing conviction that recovery and comfort deserved gentler, more natural options than what she was seeing on the shelf.

La Parea Wellness started as an answer to that gap: skin and body care built the way her family back home would have made it, backed by the standards she'd spent her career upholding. Every product — from the original Picaboo Balm to our aromatherapy and body art aftercare lines — is handmade in small batches in New Jersey, and nothing leaves our workshop unless we're proud enough to put our name on it.

We're proud to be Leaping Bunny certified, women-owned, and rooted in a simple belief: real care is personal, natural, and never rushed.

Welcome to La Parea Wellness — where ancestral remedies meet modern medical standards, and self-care becomes a ritual again.
